It's a lovely spring day here in Denver. A comfortable 72 degrees, a slight breeze on the air, sapphire blue skies freckled with lazy cottonball clouds.  I was dropping things at the post office just a moment ago and as I step out I felt... rain drops? Finding that rather odd considering the circumstances, I look up and I swear to God the cloud over my head was this tiny little black thing the size of a freakin car.  I really don't think I'm exaggerating. 

I just laughed. Because, it felt a little Saturday-Morning-Cartoonish.... 

I am eating my first ever bowl of tomato soup, which is weird given my age. But I've sort of always hated it. And I have a very strange aversion to tomato products that come from cans. So it's just never really been in the cards. Mom bought some a while back though and it smelled awesome. So... there you have it.

Anyway. I really would like to not have to go to work in the morning. It's been a very nice extended weekend. My brother was in town. We hung out, watched a ton of movies, spent all of yesterday playing around downtown. It was my first time riding the LightRail. All in all, it was very enjoyable.

We managed to watch 28 Days Later, The Hitcher, The Mist, No Reservations, Juno, Napoleon Dynamite, The Matrix, The Matrix: Reloaded, The Matrix: Revolutions, Cloverfield and Fight Club. I own almost all of those except the first four, and I feel its my duty to report that The Mist was an epic disaster. I don't know if any of you have seen it, but... the ending completely sucks. I don't say that about a lot of movies, but that one ended and I pretty much hated the world for it. lol. Cam and I saw Indiana Jones on Friday too, after our sushi night. It was amusing and fun. Certainly not the best movie on the planet, but I didn't have that expectation to begin with.

I also managed to sunburn the ever loving crap out of my shoulders during rehearsals on Saturday. Shirts and I haven't been getting along well for a few days because of it. Tomorrow should be better though. I hope.

This evening I removed the "hiatus" status over on rain_project. I'd like to continue with the original plan to keep track of my progress there. Hopefully it will drive me to work more with it. I had been doing quite well before the move, computer crash and such, and I did even manage to get some more work on it tonight. I posted the Prologue, even though that's been done for ages. But I am nearly finished with the first chapter now - which is a great deal more involved that that tiny prologue. Saying that though makes it seem as though I haven't done crap for the story itself, and as far as actually sitting to write it, I suppose I haven't. I'm hoping that will change, even if all I can do are bits and pieces each day. It's better than nothing...

Something more serious to come... one day. =3

Either my desk sits slightly too low, or my chair sits slightly too high. But either way, I can't open the keyboard drawer fully and this often results in me just leaving it closed to type. Sometimes... this results in a massive spelling fail on my part, if I'm not paying attention - which can be known to happen. =3

I'm really beginning to fear that people are starting to get the impression that I am... a complete moron. Which is quite devastating to me, because I'm really not. But at the same time, I just feel as though my IQ drops daily. Soon enough I'm going to be nothing but a flailing spaz of a girl. It's going to be horrible.

Speaking of being a flailing spaz though, I'm concerned that I may have recently regressed to the age of 12. Not only is my new LJ theme Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! - a television show aimed for children (young boys) with the hopes to boost trading card sales around the globe... but NOW my profile is reminiscent of another television show aimed at young boys. Hahah. Speed Racer FTW! Everything needed to be lightened up, I thought. And... that picture of the Mach5 is badass.

On a slightly - but-not-very-related topic - my LastFM profile is not updating to reflect my latest played songs. My "scrobbling" is enabled and everything. It asked me to update to a newer version the other day and it's not worked since. I'm beginning to think that maybe I should stop updating things.... it's done me more harm than good lately.

Something a little cracky and pointless. So... my new computer's name is Syaoran - because he's a sexy clone. Syaoran is a Backstreet Boys fan. Seriously. I have 2000+ songs, and of those 2000+ songs I doubt I have over 20 Backstreet Boys songs. And yet when I stick iTunes on shuffle, they play ALL. THE. TIME.
