I am eating my first ever bowl of tomato soup, which is weird given my age. But I've sort of always hated it. And I have a very strange aversion to tomato products that come from cans. So it's just never really been in the cards. Mom bought some a while back though and it smelled awesome. So... there you have it.
Anyway. I really would like to not have to go to work in the morning. It's been a very nice extended weekend. My brother was in town. We hung out, watched a ton of movies, spent all of yesterday playing around downtown. It was my first time riding the LightRail. All in all, it was very enjoyable.
We managed to watch 28 Days Later, The Hitcher, The Mist, No Reservations, Juno, Napoleon Dynamite, The Matrix, The Matrix: Reloaded, The Matrix: Revolutions, Cloverfield and Fight Club. I own almost all of those except the first four, and I feel its my duty to report that The Mist was an epic disaster. I don't know if any of you have seen it, but... the ending completely sucks. I don't say that about a lot of movies, but that one ended and I pretty much hated the world for it. lol. Cam and I saw Indiana Jones on Friday too, after our sushi night. It was amusing and fun. Certainly not the best movie on the planet, but I didn't have that expectation to begin with.
I also managed to sunburn the ever loving crap out of my shoulders during rehearsals on Saturday. Shirts and I haven't been getting along well for a few days because of it. Tomorrow should be better though. I hope.
This evening I removed the "hiatus" status over on
rain_project. I'd like to continue with the original plan to keep track of my progress there. Hopefully it will drive me to work more with it. I had been doing quite well before the move, computer crash and such, and I did even manage to get some more work on it tonight. I posted the
Prologue, even though that's been done for
ages. But I am nearly finished with the first chapter now - which is a great deal more involved that that tiny prologue. Saying that though makes it seem as though I haven't done crap for the story itself, and as far as actually sitting to write it, I suppose I haven't. I'm hoping that will change, even if all I can do are bits and pieces each day. It's better than nothing...
